The Creative Arts Therapist is an integral member of a collaborative team of therapists

opportunity to work with a wide range of diverse populations through counseling services for
individual adults, couples, children and families, and creative arts wellness services.
We are seeking candidates with training and interest in working with couples, families and
individuals, as well as candidates with certifications or expertise in trauma-informed care and
modalities such as EMDR, somatic experiencing, or mindfulness based practice
This is a part-time to full-time position, with a minimum commitment of 15 direct service hours

Highland Park Hospita Seeking an Art Therapist/LCPC to work in the Adolescent and Young Adult Behavioral Health In-patient Unit at Highland Park Hospital Hospital, a not-for-profit hospital in the north suburban
Chicago area. Join a knowledgeable, supportive, and caring staff that delivers a robust program
to assist the patients in gaining insight, coping skills, and positive strategies for daily living. For
over twenty years there has been a part-time art therapist as a valued member of the team.
We are now looking to fill the role of a part-time Art Therapist working one afternoon a week
planning and facilitating group art therapy sessions for 5-12 patients. The Art Therapist is always
assisted in the room by an additional mental health counselor for support. Basic art supplies are
provided by the hospital. This position does have the potential for growth as there may be a need
in the near future for help with individual counseling, leading CBT and DBT groups, and family
sessions. The Behavioral Health Department has recently grown from an eleven bed facility to a
twenty bed facility.
